Novice & Red Belt Competition Results
Well done to everybody who took part in Tonbridge Judo Club’s Novice and Red Belt competition held at Swanmead on Saturday July 16th. Competitions are a great way to improve your judo because you can try out the techniques that you learn in class against an opponent.
The standard on Saturday was “pleasingly high” said coach Chris Bowles. “The spirit in which players fought was excellent.”
Competitors are grouped, as far as possible, according to weight, grade and age to ensure there is a fair competition. The Spirit of Judo award is given to those who have shown determination, good character and the right desire to succeed in the sport.
