Huge medal haul for Tonbridge Judo Club

 

Tonbridge Judo Club entered a number of their members in the Kent International competition over the weekend.

The competition on Saturday was classed as an open aged event.

All players had to be under 16 on the day, and the event included grade-banded yellow belt, orange and green belt, and blue and brown belt.

Results: yellow section: girls: Jasmine Stringer, silver, u28kg; boys: for Shane O'Donnell and Max Irvine, it was their first major event; orange and green section: boys: Lewis Richardson, fifth, u42kg; girls: Olivia Piechota, gold, u26kg; blue and brown section: boys: Tommy Chambers, u50kg, Harry Try, u55kg; George Cullum, gold, u55kg, Enrico Atkinson, gold, u66kg, Ryan Cottom, bronze, u73kg, Zoe Boulderstone, u63kg.

The youth u20 and senior over 16 events were held on Sunday.

Results: youth u20: men: James Sparks, fifth, u66kg, Ben Urban u73kg, Justin Macklin, u60kg; senior: women: Kerry Ford, gold, u57kg.
